Ameena M. Al-Emadi is the Information Infrastructure Director of QPHI. She was appointed to join QPHI in September 2023, this was a transition from Biobank IT manager role assigned to her back in December 2018.

Ameena has 20 years of work experience in both government and private sectors.  During her career she actively contributed in successful delivery of IT projects at national and organizational levels. She has considerable mixed industries experience (National ICT Strategy Management in Education sector, Contact Center, Courts modernization, Construction) In the past 5 years she joined research sector, and it was new industry exposure, where she did high impact improvement to the biobank operation and data management. Through, new systems development and consolidation, revamp old applications, information security enhancement, and data warehouse establishment for biobank clinical data and HMC EMR data. Which reduced the time to data releases to researchers significantly from 4 months to 5 working days with daily data load.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and master’s degree in business administration. Back in 2018 she published her MBA thesis in IGI Global Journal (Title: Grounded theory analysis of successful implementation of e-government projects: Exploring perceptions of e-government authorities). She 
He has worked several national organizations such as ictQATAR, malomatia, MCIT and Ashghal.

She strongly believes in technology role as enabler in process of organization transformation and is devoted to participating in Qatar’s vision in every way possible.
